North Snow Removal ("we", "us") provides residential snow removal in Newmarket and Aurora, Ontario. This policy explains what personal information we collect through northsnowremoval.ca, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
Information we collect
- Quote and contact requests: when you use the quote form or the chat contact form, we collect your name, phone number or email address, property address, the service you are interested in and any notes you add.
- Address checker: if you use the "Is my address covered?" tool, the address you type is sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service to find its location on the map. We do not store it unless you also submit a quote request.
- Chat questions: questions typed into the chat assistant are answered inside your browser and are not stored by us unless you choose to send a contact request.
- Technical information: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request, prepare a quote and confirm whether your property fits our routes.
- To schedule and provide snow removal service and send you service updates.
- To send you a confirmation email when you submit a request with an email address.
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam.
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and advertising
We use a small amount of browser storage that is needed for the site to work, such as remembering your cookie choice. With your permission only, we also use the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram) to measure our ads and show relevant offers. The Meta Pixel does not load unless you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner.

Service providers
We share information only with providers that help us run the website and our business, for example our web and email hosting provider (Hostinger), our email services, OpenStreetMap (maps and address lookup) and a weather data provider for the forecast section. Map and weather services receive standard technical data (such as your IP address) when your browser loads them. These providers may store information outside Canada.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed to respond to your request, provide service and meet legal or accounting requirements, and then delete it.
Your rights
